It was a soggy night in the Sierra Friday.In Cisco Grove, the rain came down for hours.Farther east on Interstate 80, the conditions gradually got worse.At Donner Summit, snow was on the ground, in the trees and still falling.Thick fog made visibility on the roads difficult for weekend travelers headed to Tahoe.“The Traffic – it was just slow coming up here,” said Foresthill’s Casey Wilsey. “And the fog was really dense fog. So we really had a tough time seeing the exits and everything - where the cars are in front of you. Pretty scary, actually.”Caltrans is reminding everyone headed to the Sierra this weekend to be prepared. Carry tire chains just in case the conditions worsen and remember to drive slowly.
