A Rocklin man believed to have posted his participation in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot on Facebook has been arrested, according to court documents obtained by KCRA 3.Tommy Frederick Allan is facing charges related to violent entry or disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, entering a restricted building or grounds and damage or theft of federal property, the federal complaint reads. The affidavit said Allan tried taking government documents he claimed were from Sen. Mitch McConnel's desk and also trying to steal an American flag from the Capitol. The FBI became aware of Allan's actions after a person sent in a tip alleging him of participating in the Jan. 6 insurrection.The person sent in four Facebook posts by a profile with the username "Tommy Allan," along with a description that read, "This guy named Tommy Allan had several personal videos posted from the Trump Rally that shows them leaving and saying they are going to storm the Capitol, he then has one of them breaking windows and some footage from actually inside the Capitol building, talking to Capitol police. He also shared a disturbing post that said the next step of the Insurrection was to get rid of Justice Roberts."The FBI discovered Allan flew from Sacramento to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 5 and returned two days later, the court document reads. The agent who interviewed Allan identified him in a picture.A second person reported Allan to the FBI on Jan. 15, claiming that Allan recorded his entering the U.S. Capitol in a Facebook video, the affidavit reads.
