Here are resources for PG&E customers
Customers can see real-time power outage information at PG&E’s online outage center. You can search for a specific address or look up the outages by city or county. PG&E said the site has been updated to include 16 languages.
PG&E customers can also sign up for outage notifications that will be sent by a text, email or phone call. In those messages, PG&E will let customers know the cause of an outage, when crews will arrive, the estimated time of restoration and when power has been restored.
PG&E also sent out some storm safety tips to keep customers safe:
- Never touch downed wires
- Use generators safely. PG&E recommends they are installed by a licensed electrician and in a well-ventilated area.
- Use flashlights, not candles
- Have a backup phone
- Have fresh drinking water and ice
- Turn off appliances
