WITH THE FOCUS ON WARMING TEMPERATURES WARMING FOR NOW, BUT WE ALSO HAVE SNOW IN THE SEVEN DAY FORECAST. THIS IS THE WAY IT LOOKS IN FAIRFIELD. THERE’S INTERSTATE 80. EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT OUT THERE AND TEMPERATURES ARE WARM THERE. A LITTLE BIT WARMER THAN YESTERDAY. CURRENTLY 90 IN SACRAMENTO. IN STOCKTON, WE HAVE 88 IN MODESTO AND CURRENTLY AT SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, 67 DEGREES. TEMPERATURES ARE STILL VERY WARM THROUGHOUT NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. I WANTED TO SHOW YOU THE WIND, BECAUSE WHEN WE START TO WARM UP IN THE VALLEY, WE ALWAYS LOOK TO THE DELTA BREEZE TO BRING UP SOME OF THAT COOLER AIR FROM THE COAST. WELL, THAT’S NOT HAPPENING. FAIRFIELD ONLY IS AT FIVE MILES AN HOUR. THE WINDS ARE LIGHT JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE. SO NO SIGN OF A DELTA BREEZE TONIGHT. I DON’T THINK WE’LL GET ONE TOMORROW. WE MAY GET ONE AS WE HEAD INTO THE DAY. SATURDAY AND WE’LL REALLY HAVE ONE DURING THE DAY ON SUNDAY. SO THAT MEANS THAT WHAT WE’LL HAVE DURING THE EVENING HOURS IS A PRETTY WARM EVENING. AT 7:00, TEMPERATURES WILL STILL BE WELL INTO THE 80S. AT 9:00 IN THE 70S, AT 11:00, MID 60S. SO IF YOU HAVE ANY OUTDOOR PLANS THIS EVENING, WE’LL HAVE CLEAR SKIES, LIGHT WINDS AND VERY WARM TEMPERATURES. THE OVERALL PATTERN IS STILL VERY WARM. YOU CAN SEE HOW WEATHER SYSTEMS ARE ASKING TO OUR NORTH, LEAVING CALIFORNIA CLEAR. BUT ALL OF THIS WILL BEGIN TO CHANGE AS WE GO THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND COLDER AIR WILL COME OUR WAY FROM THE GULF OF ALASKA. SO WE’RE NOT QUITE DONE WITH THE COLDER AIR JUST YET. AS A MATTER OF FACT, AS WE GET INTO THAT CHANGE, WE ARE GOING TO BE SEEING TEMPERATURES DROP OFF RATHER DRAMATICALLY. THIS IS THE NEXT FOUR DAYS. THE AVERAGE HIGH AS OF TOMORROW FOR SACRAMENTO IS 77. WE’LL BE WELL ABOVE THAT, MAYBE EVEN TYING A RECORD TOMORROW AND THEN INTO THE LOW 90S ON SATURDAY. BUT THEN YOU CAN SEE HOW TEMPERATURES DROP TO NEAR AVERAGE ON SUNDAY AND THEN MUCH BELOW AVERAGE BY THE TIME WE GET TO THE DAY ON MONDAY. AND WHEN WE GET THAT COLDER AIR NEXT WEEK, WE’LL ALSO BE LOOKING AT CHANCES OF SNOW. NOW, THIS ISN’T EXACTLY A FORECAST, BUT IT IS MODEL OUTPUT. I WANTED TO SHOW YOU THIS BECAUSE THIS IS AS OF WEDNESDAY MORNING, WE DO THINK THERE COULD BE SOME SNOW STARTING AS EARLY AS MONDAY NIGHT ON AGAIN, OFF AGAIN SNOW ON TUESDAY AND AGAIN WEDNESDAY. AND AS YOU CAN SEE, MAYBE 5 OR 6IN OF SNOW. IT’S TOO EARLY TO KNOW WHETHER OR NOT WE’LL GET ENOUGH SNOW AT ONE PERIOD OF TIME TO CAUSE CHAIN CONTROLS FOR NEXT WEEK. BUT THAT CERTAINLY ONE OF THE POSSIBILITIES NEXT WEEK. THIS IS THE SEVEN DAY FORECAST FOR THE SIERRA, DRY AND WARM THROUGH THE WEEKEND. AND THEN AS WE HEAD INTO NEXT WEEK, TEMPERATURES DROP BACK DOWN INTO THE 30S WITH OCCASIONAL SNOW. AND AGAIN, IT’S TOO EARLY TO TELL WHETHER OR NOT WE’LL HAVE CHAIN CONTROLS. BUT IF YOU DO HAVE BUSINESS TO DO ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SIERRA NEXT WEEK, JUST STAY TUNED TO THE FORECAST. AND FOR THE VALLEY, WE’LL ALSO SEE THAT SIMILAR DROP IN TEMPERATURES AND THE SHOWERS WE HAVE IN THE FORECAST FOR NEXT WEEK. WE’RE NOT TALKING ALL DAY RAINS, BUT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF SOM
