MOTORCYCLES. AND THEN SUNDAY, PEOPLE IN CARS WILL BE BRINGING THE GIFTS. A BIG SUCCESS FOR OUR ANNUAL CHIPS FOR KIDS TOY DRIVE. AND THAT IS ALL THANKS TO YOU. ALL DAY LONG, PEOPLE DROPPED OFF TOYS AND GIFT CARDS AT CAL EXPO FROM EARLY THIS MORNING UNTIL 7:00 TONIGHT. AND OF COURSE, KCRA 3 PARTNERS WITH THE CHP FOR THIS PROJECT EVERY YEAR. SO SO HERE’S THE GRAND TOTAL. YOU DONATED 7869 TOYS THAT BEAT LAST YEAR’S TOTAL OF 7000 TOYS AND THEY HAVE $4,000 WORTH OF GIFT CARDS. 2023 CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive: How to donate at drop-off locations
Help give a happy holiday to families in need with the 2023 CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive. KCRA 3, the California Highway Patrol and the CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive have been helping to make the holidays brighter for children in our community for over 15 years.The community's generosity led to 7,869 toys being collected at this year's Cal Expo drop-off event on Dec. 1. It also led to $4,000 worth of gift cards being donated.There are still ways to continue to donate at other drop-off locations through Dec. 10. Here's what's needed: A new and unwrapped toy for infants and kids up to 16 years old. People are also encouraged to consider giving athletic equipment, gift cards and make-up for teens, too, since a lot of gifts in past years have been for younger kids. You can bring your donation to any CHP office or American Furniture Galleries between Nov. 10 and Dec. 10.This year's CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive is sponsored by American Furniture Galleries, Bell Brothers Heating & Air, Shriner's Hospital and Toyota.
