California Senate race: Our interviews with Steve Garvey, Barbara Lee, Katie Porter and Adam Schiff

KCRA 3's Edie Lambert sat down with the four leading candidates in the race to represent California in the United States Senate.

California's 2024 primary election on March 5 includes two separate contests. One of the contests is a special vacancy election to fill about two months of the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein's term, which ends on Jan. 3, 2025. Sen. Laphonza Butler, who was appointed to the seat after Feinstein's death, is not running for election to keep the seat. The other race is for the full six-year U.S. Senate term beginning on Jan. 3, 2025. The top two winners of each contest, regardless of party, move on to the general election on Nov. 5, 2024.
