Back in 2013, a California State Fair vendor decided to switch things up with a new bacon-wrapped treat that got people talking. KCRA 3's Mike TeSelle was at the fair's opening day and stumbled upon a stand selling bacon-covered, chocolate-dipped cheesecake. The California State Fair had a track record of offering foods such as bacon-wrapped turkey legs and beer-battered bacon, but this was something new. TeSelle asked one person at the fairgrounds if the combination sounded intriguing."Um, for the the adventurous, yes", she said after a long pause. TeSelle also asked a vendor at the fair named Amber about her excitement for the odd treat.
