Tornado crosses major Florida interstate as residents evacuate due to Hurricane Milton
20 TO 25 MINUTES, SO THAT STORM THAT YOU’RE SEEING RIGHT NOW ON YOUR RIGHT HAND SIDE OF YOUR SCREEN, THIS IS I-75 AT SNAKE ROAD, JUST NORTH OF I-75. IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S MOVING AWAY FROM THE INTERSTATE. THE ROADWAYS AND YOU CAN’T. IT’S JUST BLINDING RAINS BECAUSE IT’S SO FAR AWAY ALREADY. BUT I DON’T SEE THE TORNADO ON THE GROUND RIGHT NOW. LET ME LOOK AT THE VELOCITY. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS WEAKENING, WHICH IS GOOD. SO YOU CAN SEE THE ROTATION IS STILL HOLDING TOGETHER, BUT MOST LIKELY IT’S JUST LIFTING UP VERY SLOWLY AND KIND OF BLUNT, LIKE JUST BLENDING WITH THE RAINS RIGHT NOW IN THAT AREA. RAIN WRAPPED WITH THESE TORNADIC CELLS THAT SPIRAL UP. I MEAN, THAT’S WHY I WAS SO AMAZED THAT WE ACTUALLY CAUGHT THE FUNNEL CLOUD EARLIER. YEAH. YOU KNOW, AGAIN, I’M TRACKING WHAT VANESSA IS TRACKING. WE’RE JUST TRYING TO RESET OUR MAPS HERE AS WE LOOK AT, YOU KNOW, A LOT OF TIMES. AND YOU COULD EVEN BE OH, WHAT IS THAT? WOW. TORNADO ON THE GROUND. TORNADO ABOUT TO CROSS I-75. ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE, APPROACHING I-75. THAT’S THE ONE IN BLUE. AND THE BIG CYPRESS RESERVATION AREA. AND THIS IS THE SECOND ONE RIGHT OVER HERE HOLDING UP. THAT WAS RIGHT NOW DOWN NEAR WESTON INITIALLY. AND NOW IT’S THE BIG IT’S WEST OF CORAL SPRINGS. AND TAMARAC, YOU KNOW. WOW. THAT THAT IS REALLY HOLDING UP. CONTINUING TO TRACK. AND YOU CAN SEE ITS TRACK. IT’S MOVING FROM THE SOUTH TO THE NORTH. AND LOOK HOW FAST THIS MOVES. LOOK AT THIS. THIS IS A PICTURE PERFECT FUNNEL CLOUD VANESSA I’M JUST AMAZED. I’M AMAZED TOO, THAT WE’RE WE’RE ON HERE. WELL, I’M NOT AMAZED BECAUSE HERE’S THE THING. IT’S AN ENHANCED RISK OF TORNADOES. VANESSA, THAT IS SO IMPRESSIVE TO SEE THIS LIVE ON CAMERA RIGHT NOW IN OUR I KNOW IT’S NOT IN OUR VIEWING AREA, BUT IT IS GOING TO GET CLOSER TO OUR INLAND AREAS O
