As Hurricane Milton made its way through Southwest Florida as a major hurricane, it was leaving behind a trail of devastating destruction.Milton made landfall Wednesday night near Siesta Key in Sarasota County, Florida, as a Category 3 hurricane. The hurricane made landfall as the National Hurricane Center was warning that the storm would bring "life-threatening storm surge," extreme winds and flash flooding.The NHC said Milton was fueled by extremely warm waters in the Gulf of Mexico.
