Did you know a popular spot to cool off during the hot summer months in Sacramento County is also one of the only spots in the world to watch and witness a colorful bird with a uniquely colorful name?
Discovery Park is the spot where the American and Sacramento Rivers come together.
Boaters, anglers and those looking to cool off from the heat are obvious visitors to the park.
However, if you stop, look and listen you'll likely catch a glimpse of a bird so unique that you won't find it anywhere else in California's Central Valley, according to Sacramento County Parks.
