Northern California can expect the possibility of more wet weather starting Sunday night but it won't be much. There are more chances later in the week.
The chances for rain and mountain snow arrive after sunset with only minimal accumulations forecast, generally 1-2 inches of snow in the passes and only around 0.01 inch of rainfall in the Valley.
The shot of rain is possible between 7 and 10 p.m. The bulk of the snow could come between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m.
A few lingering flurries are possible in the mountains Monday morning, but expect dry conditions for most of the area through Tuesday night.
Temperatures will remain below normal through the midweek, with Tuesday's highs only forecast to reach the mid 50s in the Valley.
Another chance for wet weather arrives Wednesday morning with Valley rain and mountain snow.
Amounts of rain in the Valley will vary heavily from north to south according to KCRA 3's team of meteorologists.
A strong atmospheric river pattern is headed to Northern California and could bring heavy rain to parts of the region.
It will be an unsettled end to the week with more chances for active weather Friday through midday Saturday.
