President-elect Donald Trump has announced many of his picks for top cabinet and White House positions.
Trump filled in the last slot of his cabinet with his Nov. 23 nomination of former White House aide Brooke Rollins to Secretary of Agriculture. The cabinet is a collection of 15 executive department heads who help advise the president on a range of issues.
Among the high-profile selections are Florida Sen. Marco Rubio as Secretary of State and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Trump has also brought new seats to the table. Tom Homan will be the nation's new Border Czar, and Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency. The new department, coined "DOGE," was created to eliminate government waste and cut back spending.
So far, Trump has named 35 of the 36 high-profile positions that Hearst TV has identified.
Not all of Trump's picks are guaranteed to assume the role. Many of the positions still require a Senate confirmation hearing before they can be filled.
Facing opposition, Trump's first pick for Attorney General, former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, withdrew his nomination for the role on Nov. 21. Gaetz was investigated by the Department of Justice for alleged sex trafficking but has denied any wrongdoing. The DOJ investigation ended with no federal charges against him.
Following Gaetz’s withdrawal Trump appointed former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi to be the U.S. attorney general.
