Massachusetts man helps uncover baseball card estimated to be worth millions of dollars
No, I mean the closest thing to this, no, this is by far the biggest thing that has and will ever happen to me. Jeff Gross of Newburyport has been collecting baseball cards for decades, but he never thought that *** yard sale at his in-law's house in Danvers would result in finding *** card worth potentially millions of dollars. Nice guy rides by on his bicycle, um, introduced himself and I overhear him talking to my wife and said. Blah blah blah. So baseball cards that I and I was like, oh, what's going on over here? The Danvers man explained to Gross that he had some old cards passed out from his father, and Gross agreed to go through the cards with him. The card that he had at the time that was really stood out to me was Joe Jackson, shoeless Joe Jackson from the 1919 Black Sox, you know, throwing the World Series, and this expert's expert said to me. If that card is authenticated, your friend has *** card that has only been rumored to exist. But *** card worth $50,000 was just the start. *** few days later, the Danvers men found more cards. I still have the text. It says something about the better of the two Babe Ruth cards, and I went. Shockingly, the gentleman had *** never before seen 1916 Babe Ruth rookie card while on the Red Sox. Now, *** few months later, it will be auctioned with Robert Edward Auction House with *** minimum bid of $150,000 but expected to go for way more. The owner of the card, yeah, wants to stay anonymous you know someone said this morning, uh, does he know he won the lottery? he said he does now he does now.
