HAPPENING TODAY, SACRAMENTO CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT IS UNVEILING ADDITIONAL LIFE SAVING RESOURCES TO HELP THE PEOPLE THAT THEY SERVE ALL ACROSS SACRAMENTO, KCRA 3’S ERIN HEFT JOINING US NOW LIVE FROM SACRAMENTO FIRE STATION SIX WITH MORE DETAILS ON WHAT’S IN STORE. ERIN. GOOD MORNING. MATCHING PATIENTS NEEDS. IT’S ALWAYS A TOP PRIORITY BECAUSE IT’S CRITICAL SITUATIONS. IT REALLY SAVES LIVES. THIS IS PART OF A NEW PROGRAM DESIGNED TO ENHANCE RESOURCES AND GET PATIENTS THE CARE THAT THEY SO BADLY NEED IN THOSE SITUATIONS WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF CARE VIA AMBULANCE. THESE UNITS WOULD HELP PROVIDE BASIC LIFE SUPPORT, WHICH CAN BE REQUESTED FOR NON-LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCIES AND IN TURN, THIS WILL FREE UP ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT AMBULANCE FOR CRITICAL NEED PATIENTS BACK OUT HERE.
