The LEGOLAND Florida Resort kicked off the holiday season brick-by-brick with a LEGO Christmas tree lighting, the theme park announced on Monday.The tree was built with almost 365,000 LEGO and DUPLO bricks and sits over 30 feet tall.The evening also had special guests Steven and Mark Erickson, champions of the “LEGO Masters” television show who had the honor of flipping a special LEGO switch to light the tree. Guests can visit the tree and enjoy other festive activities on select dates through Dec. 31.“The holidays are the perfect time to gather and share the joy of LEGO building,” said Mark Erickson. “LEGOLAND Florida is where creativity and family fun come together and we’re honored to be part of the celebration!” LEGOLAND will also have a Kids’ New Year’s Eve celebration, happening nightly from Dec. 26 - 31, featuring a DJ dance party and a 3D LEGO fireworks show.For more seasonal events in LEGOLAND, Florida, check out their website.
