Cecil Hannibal is an Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter.

He joined KCRA 3 from the Hearst Television station in Jackson, Mississippi, where he anchored WAPT's weekday morning newscast.

His field anchoring of the 2022 Pearl River flood led to a regional Emmy for best morning newscast.

Hannibal also helped lead the station's coverage during Jackson's ongoing water crisis and the Rolling Fork Tornado outbreak.

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, he spent most of his life in Atlanta, Georgia, before heading out west to attend the University of Southern California.

When he's not chasing a story, you can find him on the tennis court, playing basketball with friends, or catching an NBA game. He's also a big foodie who can't wait to dive into Sacramento's thriving food scene.
