The California State Fair is back at Cal Expo after years of pandemic cancellations. The annual event runs from July 15 to 31.

Also back this year is the traditional fair food, which includes all of the classics that are usually deep fried.

There is a way to try a little of what every vendor has to offer. The $2 Taste of the Fair runs every Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. where each food vendor will offer a sample item.
