16-year-old driver killed in Tracy crash; wet roads contributed, police say
A 16-year-old driver has died and two other people were injured in a crash in Tracy Monday, police said.
According to the Tracy Police Department, the crash involving two vehicles occurred at Sycamore Parkway and Alleghany Street around 9:55 a.m.
The 16-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police said the occupants of the second vehicle were taken to the hospital with injuries. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
Officials determined that speed and wet road conditions contributed to the crash. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
