6 new things to check out for 2016 River Cats season
There is lots of new fun at Raley Field this year for the 2016 Sacramento River Cats season, including an awesome new jersey. Take a look at these 5 new things to look for as the River Cats kick off their 17th season in West Sacramento.

1. New food: First up is the new mouth-watering jalapeno pepper jack cheeseburger. (But we can't forget the popular doughnut bacon cheeseburger that's a staple at the ballpark.)

The second new food item at Raley Field is the bacon-wrapped hot dog. Which food item are you going to try first?

2. Orange Fridays: The Sacramento River Cats are debuting new orange Sactown jerseys this year that will be worn at every Friday home game. Fans can also purchase their own button-down Sactown jersey -- the hottest-selling items in the store -- in the On Deck Shop.

And if you want a matching hat for your jersey, check out the black and orange Sac baseball caps.

Continuing the orange theme for fans, the River Cats are cashing in on their affiliation with the San Francisco Giants with this side-by-side logo hat featuring both teams.

The team store is filling up with plenty of orange and black for River Cats and Giants fans alike.

3. Down on the Field: The right field barbecue area has been transformed to a kids' area called Down on the Farm.

4. Wiffleball field: Just like it's big brother organization, the River Cats' ballpark now features a wiffleball field in the Down on the Farm area in right field.

Kids can test out their power and hit it out of the park toward the Tower Bridge and downtown Sacramento.

5. New grass: After the Biggest Show on Snow blew through Raley Field over the winter, the ball-playing turf was a mess. The grounds crew ripped up the old rug and replaced it with brand-new, luscious green grass.

6. New scoreboard: Baseball fans can now get player statistics and messages on a 134-foot scoreboard in left field that lights up with color.
