Anahita Jafary is the KCRA 3 Stockton-Modesto bureau reporter.

She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a bachelor's degree in communication and a minor in poverty, inequality, and social justice. Before that, she received three associate degrees.

Anahita is excited to be back in California after spending two years reporting and anchoring in Charlottesville, Virginia, at the region’s top-rated TV news station. She covered breaking news stories including the UVA mass shooting in November 2022.

Anahita is an award-winning journalist, receiving first and second place Associated Press Awards for Best Serious Feature in 2024.

She previously worked in Barcelona, Spain, interning for an A-list European magazine. She is fluent in English and Farsi and continues to work on improving her Spanish.

Anahita is a big foodie and loves trying new restaurants and cooking. On her off time, she enjoys playing board games and traveling whenever she can.
